Keywork database

In Spring 2016 we were approached by a social enterprise working with young people leaving care, to help them to manage their keywork data.

They needed a system that could be used by staff to record important details and allow them to analyse trends over time. As a small organisation without specialist software or expertise, they needed the system to run on a platform that was already available to their staff.

Working in partnership with Rosie Maguire, an external colleague of ours, we designed and built an Access database, with forms for data input, robustly structured data behind, and reporting templates for exporting the data in an attractive, readable format. A year later and we’re back working with this inspiring organisation to streamline their processes so that they get the maximum benefit from having structured data. A clear overview of the organisation’s impact, easily accessible by staff,
will help this organisation when raising funds to continue to support the vulnerable young people that they work with.

Staff at the charity were really excited about their new database and we loved being able to make their lives easier. One staff member wrote to us,

“It’s such a brilliant thing – so simple and flexible and made for US. Thank you so much.”

It warms the heart.
